Workshop Day Two: 6-28-07
Day two of the workshop started without one of the expected plenary speakers, Qikun Xue of Tsinghua University, who was unfortunately unable to join at the last minute. Horia Metiu, PIRE-ECCI PI at UCSB, was there to fill the empty spot in a pinch.
The walk through DICP's campus is very beautiful and green and lush. 
Following the days events, a VIP dinner was held at a local seaside restaurant. The group was seated in adjoining rooms on the fourth floor, overlooking the sea. The dinner was of course abundant and delicious, with many different delicacies to try.
