OVERVIEW

Welcome to the US-China Partnership Workshop website on Heterogeneous Catalysis and Surface Chemistry. This workshop was held in one of the most beautiful cities in China, Dalian in Liaoning province. Brought together were American and Chinese students, post-docs, and leading experts to discuss the scientific and engineering aspects of heterogeneous catalysis. Conference participants were provided with the opportunity to make friends and create connections at one of China's most outstanding research institutes while enjoying the warm cultural atmosphere of China. The workshop highlighted several world leaders in lectures on their most recent work. The heart of the conference was contributed talks from Chinese and American students, including a poster session for those who did not give an oral presentation.

We thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you were a participant in this exciting event, we hope you enjoyed the workshop and were able to make friends and business contacts, as well as enjoy the fine city of Dalian. The success of this workshop is directly attributed to the enthusiastic participation of all attendees, including invited speakers and student contributors, both during the workshop and the evening social events. Special thanks are due to our gracious hosts who provided a wonderful venue and accommodations for all out of town guests. The warmth and hospitality from the organizers at DICP was truly exceptional.

Images from the event can be found at the links to the below right. Please check back frequently to the PIRE-ECCI website for upcoming events, and be sure to let us know if any scientific collaborations were born from this meeting.
