Workshop Day Three: 6-29-07
Day three was a half day for talks, which included our only undergraduate speaker, Andrew Robertson from Lake Superior State University. Following the workshop end at noon, the PIRE-ECCI International Advisory Board Member Meeting met to discuss the progress and future of our program.
Closing remarks were made by Susannah Scott, Co-Chair of the PIRE-ECCI program. UCSB's PIRE-ECCI spearheads and co-chairs, Susannah Scott and Alec Wodtke, can be seen below in the hotel lobby in Dalian, a welcome meeting place for all guests to China. 
The workshop was declared a success by all. The science was exciting and the talks were excellent. Since the workshop was attended by a relatively small group, the participants were able to get to know each other quite well in the short time period and enjoy the many social aspects of the workshop, both during and afterwards, in the beautiful city of Dalian. The success is due to our gracious hosts who ensured that every accommodation was accounted for, providing exceptional lodging, delicious food, a perfect meeting site, and their warm hospitality. A special thanks is due to Xueming Yang and Wei-Xue Li of the DICP, and all of their support staff who made this trip possible for their international guests. |
